Subject: AKCL v615 on 386 (bugs?)

I recently compiled AKCL under SCO Unix and everything seems to work fine
... except, the compiled compiler does not generate objects that are
either runable or loadable; i.e. interpreted programs work fine, but you
can't load .o files after compiling them and if you handle fondle the .o
into a loadable format, they do not run correctly (e.g. &rest parameters
aren't lists, etc., etc.).

Obviously, the interpreted compiler works properly, since AKCL runs fine
after re-compiling itself. However, something seems to have been lost
during the recompile.

So, does anyone out there have any advice for tracking this one down?
Has anyone gotten AKCL to run (and compile) under some 386 Unix?
Thanks in advance for any info you can offer.
