Howdy! We are about to embark on a project to study associative
memory schemes, and were wondering if anybody knew where we might be able
to find some papers or books on the LISP machine..? Our Local Library's
CD ROMs or Computers couldn't find anything on it.

Have there been any books or articles on this machine...?

Our purpose is to study pointer usage in conventional programs,
and to look at various schemes like tagged memory and special associative
caching to support their usage.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

	Many thanks!

	Toodlepip!
	Marc 'em.

For your first cut, I'd look at

Kogge, Peter M. _The Architecture of Symbolic Computers_ 1991 McGraw-Hill Inc. NY
ISBN 0-07-035596-7

Half the book (roughly) is on lisp (and does talk about the significant lispms), the
other half is on prolog (including the WAM). Extensive references are also listed.

Good luck,
