Announcing the availability of SIOD version 2.8
for anonymous ftp from world.std.com in the directory src/lisp

[SIOD is an extremely small lisp implementation.]

 siod-v2.8-shar  ... a shell archive
 siod-v2.8-vms   ... a VMS shell archive
 siod-v2.8-hqx   ... a BINHEX of a stuffit archive for macintosh.

For the most part this is a bug fix update to the 2.7 release.
With some small additional features that were required for a
company that did a "modem/terminal scripting language" product
utilizing SIOD as the interpreter for the scripting language.

Note: Due to current NSF restrictions, not all sites on the network can
      access world.std.com. If you are unable to ftp then send mail
      requesting the file to ···@world.std.com and I will try to respond.
