Does anyone have code we can have to read and write color pixmaps from an 
xlib image to some file format?

I have just discovered that there is no color equivalent to 
xlib:read-bitmap-file and xlib:write-bitmap-file, so I am hoping someone out 
there has written one we can use.  I am willing to use any disk format file,
such as gif, ppm, xpm, etc.
