Hi,
thanks to all those who replied about my Kyoto Common Lisp
question. It appears that I have been extremely naive in hoping that a
version of KCL would run on the IBM. Apparently there are a few factors
that make this a tough thing to do. One problem is sheer disk space and
memory space required (the 640k on the IBM being a definite barrier to
the later). Another problem deals with the strange and convoluted way
that KCL is written. I was sketchy on these last details, but it seemed
daunting enough.
I would like to retract my previous question on KCL. However, if
you know of any good public domain Common Lisp alternatives for the IBM,
I would be very interested in hearing from you.
Thanks,
Mark E. Kern
