I am interested in learning to what extent current
commercial (or research) Lisp compilers perform type
inference or some other form of type analysis, and
how this analysis is used.

The only published work I am aware of is that of 
R. Beer at Case Western Reserve.  

Any pointers to other material would be greatly 
appreciated.
